It Kills

Smiled, she gave me the grade.
I unfolded the card and there I saw
The paper was filled with red
Lines, waves, marks and points

My eyes opened wide without a blink
That the room was covered
My heart stopped pumping
I can’t breathe easy

Her pen flew nearer and closer to me
Slowly it stubbed my forehead,
My eyes, mouth, chest,
Stomach, legs and feet

On my hand was the card
It was bloody red
Gradually it flooded
Went up above my head –
I’m drowned.
